Jewelry Becomes You uses a variety of genuine gemstones, each unique from nature. Because they are from nature they will vary slightly in shape and color.

Cleaning and Care
To best care for your gemstones, place them in a solution of water and a mild dish soap and use a soft toothbrush to clean in tight spaces. Always rinse your jewelry in clean water and dry it with a soft cloth.
Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is most often used in jewelry designs. At Jewelry Becomes You, we use only the highest quality sterling silver, 925 which is the standard in the jewelry industry.

Cleaning and Care
Often when sterling silver is not used frequently it will tarnish. Wearing your sterling silver from Jewelry Becomes You often will minimize tarnishing. Always store your jewelry in the Tarnish Resistant Bag that was included with your designer piece. Wiping off your sterling silver jewelry after wearing it with the cloth that was included will remove any lotion, cologne, perfume, etc. that may have transferred from your skin, which will help to prevent tarnishing.
14 Karat Gold-Fill

14 karat gold-fill is a small amount of brass between two thick layers of 14 karat gold. Gold-fill is a high quality alternative to Gold. Thicker than gold-plate or vermeil, 14 karat gold-fill provides the "look and feel" of karat gold at a much more affordable price.

Gold-fill jewelry will retain its exquisite luster without any special care. You should regularly wipe your jewelry clean with a soft polishing cloth to restore its shine. Remember, never use an abrasive material on your gold-fill jewelry.
